Reset Two-Factor Authentication

If your two-factor authentication is not working or you have any other problems regarding two-factor authentication, you can reset it and set it up anew. 

Reset Two-Factor Authentication via password.uio.no

This method is suited for those cases where the previous two-factor authentication method is invalid or not available anymore. For instance, if you have changed your phone and you no longer have access to it.

  1. Go to password.uio.no
  2. Click on Two-factor authentication
  3. Below "Reset two-factor authentication", click on Log in with ID-porten
  4. Authenticate via BankID, Buypass ID or Commfides
  5. Click on your account to reset two-factor authentication

If you cannot authenticate with any of the methods above, please contact support (see below).
