Shortcuts are usually created automatically. If you don't see them five minutes after logging in, you might follow the steps below.
How to mount your data storage area to your Windows machine in TSD
- Log on to your TSD windows machine pNNNN-winNN.
- Double click on Windows File Explorer icon on your task bar or on the Start menu.
- Choose the This PC icon on the left pane in File Explorer and right click on your mouse and choose Map network drive.
- From the "Drive" drop-down menu, choose drive "N:", and in the folder input box, type the following path: \\ess01\pNNNN\data (where pNNNN is your TSD project number).
To reconnect this drive every time you log on to your computer, ensure the Reconnect at sign-in check box is checked.
- Click the Finish button to map the project storage area to your your machine.
- Next, choose the "Map network drive" option again. From the "Drive" drop-down menu, choose drive "M:", and in the folder input box, type the following path: \\ess01\pNNNN\home (where pNNNN is your TSD project number).
To reconnect this drive every time you log on to your computer, ensure the Reconnect at sign-in check box is checked.
- Click the Finish button to map the project storage's user home directory area to your your machine.
- The shares are now mounted and ready for use.
- You can optionally create a shortcut to directories from your desktop - data and home. Choose the directory you wish to create a short cut to and right-click on it. Then choose "Create Shortcut".
- Click on Yes
