Course content

The Master`s thesis is an independent scientific work, conducted under supervision, within one of the pharmaceutical disciplines. The thesis corresponds to one and a half semesters of full-time study, 45 credits, and is completed during the last year of the study programme. Through the Master project, you will be affiliated with one of the research groups at the Institute or an external research group.

Regulations concerning the Master’s thesis are specified in?Rules on Courses, Course Groups and Degrees in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.

Learning outcome

After completing the course, you can:

  • Contribute to knowledge development within your field of specialisation.
  • Make critical and reflective choices among key methods and current tools within the relevant scientific field.
  • Conduct an independent, defined research or development project under supervision and in accordance with current ethical norms in?research.
  • Process, analyse and interpret data as a basis for scientifically informed decisions.
  • Master oral and written communication of scientific work.?
  • Apply your knowledge and skills in new areas and in collaboration with others, so that advanced work tasks and projects can be carried out.

Admission to the course

The Master’s thesis is a compulsory part of the 5-year Master’s Programme in?Pharmacy and requires admission to the programme.
