Important:
The guidelines below only apply if your email account is in MS365. All accounts at UiO will be migrated there in the fall of 2024. If you are unsure whether your email is in MS365, you can check it as follows:
Go to →outlook.office.com. If you see a login window and can log in, you have been migrated. If you are asked to click on a link to be redirected, you have not been migrated.
For managed devices:
When your account is migrated to the cloud, the old mail configuration profile will automatically be removed from your device. This will result in the removal of the UiO account in Apple Mail, along with the emails in the mailbox.
At the same time, a new configuration profile will be installed on your device by the management system, and a new "UiO Mail" account will appear. This account will have a small lightning bolt icon next to it.
To set up the new account:
- Click on the "lightning bolt" icon next to the account name.
- You will be redirected to two-factor authentication. Authenticate as prompted.
- Wait for all emails to be downloaded to your device. Calendars will update after all emails are downloaded, so it may take some time before everything is fully restored.
A tutorial is available if you have to set up your UiO email account again.
