Course description
Course content
This is an intermediate-to-advanced level molecular biology course, which focuses on?structure?and maintenance of?genomes,?as well as gene?expression. It is required for students?who?plan to work with DNA, RNA, and genomes in more advanced courses and/or master projects.
Learning outcome
After completing the course, you?will:
- have a grasp of?major methods used in molecular biology
- become familiar with principles of genomic organization and dynamics
- understand how the genetic information is stored and expressed
- know major mechanism of gene regulation
Admission to the course
Students who are admitted to study programmes at UiO must each semester register which courses and exams they wish to sign up for?in Studentweb.
Priority will be given to students in the bachelor program in Biosciences.
