Solution to the problems for seminar 6 - provided by Group A (no Group B), is now available under "Seminars". This is the last seminar!

Under "Lectures" you will find updated slides for Lecture 12 November 8: Some typos are corrected, furthermore in the Helpman et al. model a 0 deposit insurance premium is explicitly assumed, and in the Dewatripont and Tirole model the conditional expected net value of the bank in period 2 is defined.
The problem set 6 for the seminar (the last one) in week 46 (Nov 17 in HH 101 1415-1600) is now available under "Seminars". So far only one group is willing to answer the questions (Skumsnes and ?mot). If another group should like to put in some effort, please give a message to Vislie. The answers should be sent to Vislie not later than Wednesday 16, before 1200.

The problem set for seminar #5 - November 3 - is available under "Seminars". Group A (Pokhrel, Gurung) will answer Question A (Bubbles), while Group B (Nesvik, Trasti) will answer Question B (Diamond-Dybvig model). Please mail the answers to Jon Vislie (jon.vislie@econ.uio.no)not later than Wednesday (November 2) morning, as pdf-files. I will then forward them to Henrik B. The last seminar on November 17 will take place in Room 101 in Harriet Holter; 1415-1600. The problem set will be available in week 45. So far, only one group is in the programme;(Skumsnes & ?mot). We should have one more group! Those willing to do the job, please contact JV.
Updated lecture notes for the lecture on 25 October (Vale lecture 1) are uploaded. In these updated slides, a few typos have been corrected and the description of deposit insurance is more detailed.
The solutions to problem set #4 for the seminar tomorrow are available under "Seminars". The problems for the seminar next week (November 3) will be available as soon as poosible.
Seminar 4 Both groups should answer both questions (Group A: Lindstr?m et al.; group B: Hansen et al). The answer to the second question can be relatively brief. Answers should be mailed to Jon Vislie.

The solutions to Problem Set #3 for the seminar tomorrow are available under "Seminars". The Problem Set for Seminar #4 in two weeks (October 27) will be available next week. The two groups to answer the questions for Seminar #4 are: Group A: Lindstr?m et al.; Broup B: Hansen et al.
The problem set for seminar #3 (October 13) is now available under "Seminars". Both groups (Group A: Keller et al., and Group B: Skripeland et al.) answer both Question 1 and 2. (Question 1 is related to Problem Set #1 and section 2.5.3 in F&R, and you should all consider both questions carefully!) The two groups should mail their answers to JV (jon.vislie@econ.uio.no), not later than Wednesday morning, as pdf-files. The answers will then be forwarded to Henrik B.
The lecture on Tuessday 11 October will start at 16.30 and may continue to 18.15. Reason: Lecturer needs to be reprogrammed from real business cycles to bubbles and crisis. AR

More sections that can be skipped In Freixas and Rochet's book sections 2.3, 2.5.4, 2.5.5 and 3.5.3 have been added to the list of sections that can be skipped. AR

The Problem Set for seminar #2 on October 6, will be available on the Homepage not later than Thursday (September 29). This problem set is to be answered by two groups: Group A with Berhardsen et al.; Group B with Hovland et al. Both groups complete a draft not later than October 5. Send your answer/proposal on e-mail (pdf) to JV (jon.vislie@econ.uio.no), who will make them available on the Homepage and to Henrik B.
Please note that there have been CHANGES IN THE SEMINAR SCHEDULE:
The first seminar will be held 22 September, 14:15-16:00 in seminarroom 847, Eilert Sundt's building.

All of the above seminars have the same time & venue, in addition to this there will be a last seminar on 17 November. While the time is 14:15, the venue will be confirmed at a later stage.
