A draft to solutions for the exam 2008 is available here. Note however that this solution set has not been fully checked.
Slides and R-script for the example with projection pursuit regression shown in the lectures Friday 22. November is now available at the schedule pages.
This exercise turned out to be a bit difficult (and there was a small missprint). An updated version is now uploaded that should be easier to perform.
The project exercise is now available at the link on the right hand side.
In a) you should fit i LINEAR model with logNO2 as response.
In b) you should fit an ADDITIVE model, STILL with logNO2 as response.
A project will be part of the exam (accounting 50% of the total score). The project will be published at November 26th and have a deadline December 10th at 14.00
We postphone this exercise to next week since it cover some parts that we not yet have discussed.
The teaching Fridays 20th and 27th September are moved to Seminar room B81 in Nils Henrik Abels hus.
Tip: You can use the function mvrnorm from the R package MASS to simulate from the multivariate normal distribution.
