The oral exams - 30 min for each master student (45 min for PhDs) - are on Dec. 5 and 6. Good luck! Nils

On Nov. 8, we have a little change of plans. Wolfgang will present FOSS Quality Models (Chap. 5 in the compendium) the first hour and Nils will go through the two exercises in the Appendix in the compendium. These exercises present realistic examples and are also quite relevant for the oral exam(!)

We received some questions about the delivery of the three-page midterm paper. Indeed, I see that this is not enough explained from our side. Apologies for that.

The midterm paper is a three-pages report (12pt) about the current state of the work. Please upload this report as a separate pdf file on the wiki. Please upload this report as soon as possible, (preferably before the next lecture; that is October 18). After you have uploaded, please, send a short notice to both Nils and me. We will then read your paper and give you feedback by email.

Please note: In Devilry there is a a deliverable "Midterm Paper by group" with a deadline that has passed. Please do not worry about that. There are some technical reasons why this deliverable and the deadline are there.

Please note that the final delivery of the finished paper is done by using devilry before 19. November.

Best Regards Wolfgang Leister

We made changes in the lecture plan. Unfortunately, our invited guest lecturer Michel Bauwens did not have the opportunity to visit us. Instead, the lecture on Licensing will take place on September 27. For November 1., we plan a lecture by lawyer Odd Kleiva. A content description of this lecture will be announced soon.

We welcome all students to INF 5780 this semester with the first lecture on Aug. 23 at 0915 in room 2458 Postscript. Due to an error, this web page very unfortunately announced before the summer that INF 5780 had been terminated. That is NOT the case - the course is still going strong so please enroll!
