Course content
Seminar in Qualitative Research Methods in Information Systems, with emphasis on action research
Learning outcome
The aim of the course is to provide
- basic knowledge and skills in action research methods
- basic knowledge and skills in research design
- basic knowledge in data analysis and data display, practical implementation and evaluation

Recommended previous knowledge
The course is intended for students doing action oriented research thesises.

Teaching
3 intensive workshops, each of two days duration. Participation in at least two of three workshops is required.Students prepare their own work to each workshop.
Examination
- Participation in at least two of three workshops is required
- Two of three written assignments must be passed.
- 1 hour written examination

Resit an examination
This course does not offer new examination in the beginning of the subsequent term for candidates who withdraw during an ordinary examination or fail an ordinary examination.
General information about new examination
Withdrawal from an examination
It is possible to take the exam up to 3 times. If you withdraw from the exam after the deadline or during the exam, this will be counted as an examination attempt.
The course is considered equal to INF5570 – Action Research Workshop (discontinued), INF9930 – Action Research Workshop (discontinued), INF9571 – Action Research Workshop when practicing exam regulations.
