The XML has turned the Internet into a world-wide business integration platform. This lecture introduces the main e-business concepts and ideas. Socio-cultural consequences ('globalization') are also discussed. It is shown how e-business and information design may help create an international corporation which 'makes globalization a good thing' (empowers endangered economies and cultures, helps people travel in an authentic way etc.). ? |
