The lectures are now finished and the exercises will be finished when all exercises have been solved and the solutions for the second mandatory exercise have been presented. There will be one last lecture 29/5 with a questions&answers and a summary. Pensum has been updated.
The next exercises are: 7.17, 7.18, 7.19, 11.1, 11.2, and 11.5.

Pensum for the mid term exam is Chap 1-4. The deadline for mandatory exercise 2 will be early in May. Tentative date is May 5.

On Tuesday, we started on Chap 4 and covered most of 4.1 and 4.2. Exercises for next week are: 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, and 4.4. The mandatory exercise should be mailed to either Mikkel(mikkelbs@student.matnat.uio.no) or James(jamesdt@math.uio.no). Remember to include "Oblig 1, mat-inf 3360" in the subject field to make it easier for them.
Yesterday we went through Chap 3. There will be no lecture or exercises next week due to winter-holiday. The mandatory excerise had a few bugs, which are now fixed. Exercises for week 9 are: 3.1, 3.3, 3.4, 3.6, and 3.10.

We have now started on Chapter 3. Akademika has ordered books, but can not promise anything concerning date of delivery. Exercises for next week are: 2.14, 2.17, 2.19 and make a program that solves 2.4.

17.01. In today's lecture we covered most of Chapter 1. For next week: prepare exercise 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 and 1.15, and project 1.3.
