I have uploaded program for next week to the time schedule page.
The lecture will cover ch. 16 in J&M. As time permits we will start working on exercise 1 from exam 2011. Be smart, work on the exercise before the class.
Uploaded a detailed syllabus as text and in table form. See right margin.
Uploaded some exam exercises from earlier. See right margin.
They who need it may get some extra days on oblig. 4. Last delivery 1 May at 6 pm.
I have uploaded exercise set for tomorrow: chart parsing
During the lecture today we spotted several typos in the presentation. I have uploaded a corrected version (same name and links as the old one). Jan Tore
I managed to forget some pages in the 3 o'clockk version. Hopefully the last version is both complete and without typos.
Oblig 4 is now published. Deadline April 25. Get a kick start at the group 10 April.
I have to cancel todays lecture since I have caught a cold.
I am sorry for that. See you next week, Monday 15 April,
Jan Tore
No lecture Mondays 25 March and 1 April. No group 27 March. Next event is group: 3 April. Theme: Last minute advices on oblig. 3.
I have put a (partial) model solution to oblig. 2 in the /projects/nlp/... folder. If you have a working grammar, continue to use it in oblig 3 - no reason to copy the model solution. I've only made a grammar for Norwegian, but it should be possible to use much of it also for English.
I have started a FAQ for questions regarding oblig 3.
I've got several questions regarding Obligatory assignment 2. I have collected some of the answers in a FAQ I have also uploaded an amplification to the exercise set itself regarding what should be submitted.
I have made some changes to the originally posted plan. Chart-parsing is postponed to Monday 4 March. This coming Monday, 25 February, we will study CKY-parsing and take a closer look on the relationship between natural languages and CFGs.
Something was unclear in oblig2/exercise 3. I have no uploaded corrected assignment with correct heading.
I have uploaded presentation for Monday 11. I uploaded a first version yesterday (Thursday) evening, but made some changes this morning (Friday). Does only apply to the last 10 slides.
I've translated the presentations from Monday into English and uploaded, together with next week's presentation. I've also uploaded the first exercise set for Wednesday 23, and some advices concerning Python for they who lack INF1820. Enjoy!
