Pga helligdager blir det ingen gruppeundervisning onsdag 17.mai og torsdag 25.mai. P? torsdag denne uken vil jeg g? igjennom oppgave 1 fra 2004, og onsdag 24.mai tar vi for oss oppgave 2 fra 2004.

There will be no lecture today Tuesday, 9th of May.

This week, we will revisit problem 2 from 89, since the solution I gave last thursday was completely wrong.. Then, we will do problems 2 and, if there is time, 1 from 2003.

Tomorrow + thursday, we will revist problem 2/84 and 1/85 from last week, and then do problem 2 from 1989.

Next week, we will proceed with problem 2 from 1984, 1 from 1985 and 3 from 1986.

This week, we will go through some problems from previous exams. The exams can be found here. First out are problem 2 from 1983 and problems 1 and 3 from 1984.

The results from the midterm exam are posted on the board in the ground floor, west wing of the physics building (next to the elevator).

The first lecture after easter is on tuesday 18/04. Happy easter!

The monte carlo example code (in Matlab and C++), and some illustrative plots are found under programmer .

This week, we shall get some hands-on experience with Monte-Carlo methods, and do problem 6.10 in Chandler. On wednesday, we will meet in the computer lab (room FV329). On thursday, we will discuss the results (in room F?467 as usual).

Problems for this week: 5.21 and 5.22. Note that 5.21 has been covered in the lectures, so we will just repeat the main results (for comparison with 5.22).

Problems for this week: 5.1-5.2 and 5.6-5.8

Problems for 08.03 and 09.03: We will continue to discuss 4.19 and 4.20, plus repeat 4.18-4.19 for bosons.

I gruppetimen onsdag 8.2 kan vi diskutere oppgavene 3.5, 3.8 og 4.2, samt litt mer om oppgave 2.25.

I gruppetimen onsdag 1.2 vil vi studere oppgavene 2.20 og 2.23-2.25 i Chandler.
