Exercises are devoted to normal distribution, 2-dim Fermi Gas at low and high temperatures, the electron gas in magnetic field, and to phase transitions from free fermi and boson gases to its boundary states.

As a help to midterm exam please solve problem 1.2 from Galperin booklet.
This week lectures include Bosons at non-zero chemical potential, Bose Einstein condensation and Fermions. We will finish chapter 5 in the book (excluding pages 108-113).
The symbol a in problem 1.6 lacks definition. There should have been a sentence in problem 1.5 reading. 'Plot (ln(P(x)) as a function of x^2 and show that there is a linear relation between these two quantities with slope -a.'
It is an example of the obligatory exercises.
