Beskjeder - Side 2
Since several of you asked for a time extension, you can deliver the first mandatory exercise on Monday as well.
However, remember to give it to Lluís (email, post box, hand-in).
The compulsory exercise is that of 2006. Of course, it is highly recommended to do the second one as well, since one complements the other.
You have now the first mandatory assignment in the web.
You can find the links to the calendars of the Cosmology seminar and Friday colloquium now in the course web.
They are public so you can come whenever you want. Sometimes they can be technical but you will probably see it from the abstract.
You can find the weekly assignment for week 6 in the web.
You can find the weekly assignment for next Friday in the web.
Please, prepare exercises 1.11, 1.12 and 1.13 before the class.
In next exercise session we will work on the exercises in the weekly assignment 4.
It would be good if you could take a look and think about them before.
You can find the slides of spacetime lecture in the web
Next Monday, 1st of February, we will do lecture class (theory).
We will go through the chapter Special Relativity.
Next Thursday 14:15h in the auditorium there is a talk about Spider.
This is an experiment with balloons for studying the polarization of the Cosmic Microwave Background and constrain models of the early universe (Inflation...)
The speaker will give a student friendly talk with an extended general-cosmology introduction, so you are all very welcome to attend.
sorry for the late notice.
Tomorrow at the institute, 14:15h in the auditorium, there is a ~45 min talk about dark matter detection at the particle accelerator in Geneva, LHC.
Since this is a hot topic in Cosmology and particle physics, you can find it very interesting.
The speaker will give a very student-friendly talk so you are all invited to attend it.
You can find in the web the slides for the part Observations of chapter I, which were used in the first lecture class.
Changes in the lectures/exercises classes:
