Presentation of masters projects in astronomy

The Institute of Theoretical Astrophysics arranges a presentation of available supervisors for the starting students in the master programme, which is also open to bachelor students thinking about taking a masters degree in astronomy. The students on AST3220 are most welcome!

We'll meet in "Peisestua" (room 304) on Thursday 4 February, at 12:00-13.30, and the following Thursday (11 February), also 12:00 - 13:30.

The tentative plan is the following (can be changed):

4 February:
12:00 - 12:15: Intro by Master programme board
12:15 - 12:30: David F. Mota (cosmological simulations, theoretical cosmology)
12:30 - 12:45: Hans Kristian Eriksen (CMB data analysis)
12:45 - 13:00: Ingunn Wehus (CMB data analysis)
13:00 - 13:15: Signe Riemer-S?rensen (dark matter, neutrinos,...)

11 February:
12:00 - 12:15: Intro by Master programme board
12:15 - 12:30: Mats Carlsson (computational and observational solar physics)
12:30 - 12:45: Boris Gudiksen (computational solar physics)
12:45 - 13:00: Luc Rouppe van der Voort (observational solar physics)
13:00 - 13:15: Sven Wedemeyer (solar and stellar astronomy)
