Hi everyone!

I am sorry this message is as late as it is. I want to remind everyone that tomorrow there will be an extra lab-session at 12:15-14:00 in the Auditorium again. I hope most of you heard me ask if this was desired before leaving last time, and have time to drop by if you want.

Remember that this is the last week of labs to work on the Hinode exercises, and after this you will be on your own apart from email queries.

Therefore, please prepare any questions you might have, and try and get as far as possible before the sessions, especially the regular Thursday one. I am also working on a document detailing do's and dont's for the report you have to write, which I'll put up on the web.

Please read through chapter 3.12 "Other types of detectors for visible light". Take your own notes of this chapter, since it will not be covered during any of the lectures. 

I have uploaded the newest version of the lecture notes. The new document contains all chapters that will be covered during the course and is identical to the printed version, which you can pick up during the lecture on Wednesday. 

The slides of H?kon Dahle's lecture on IR detectors have been uploaded.

The lecture notes of chapter 3 (Detectors) have been uploaded. Go to the Materials section to view them.

The dates for the La Palma trip have now been fixed. We will leave Oslo on Wednesday, Sep 23 and return on Sunday, Sep 27. The outbound journey will involve an overnight stay on Gran Canaria. Please send me your passport number and name as it appears on your passport by email asap. We will need it for reserving the accomodation at the Residencia on La Palma.
