Course content
This course will introduce you to selected digital approaches that are used and being developed in Ibsen Studies. The Centre for Ibsen Studies is a world-leading institution in developing digital methods for research in the Humanities. We look at a wide range of methods in the course of a semester, including text interrogation, mapping, network analysis, and using virtual reality technology in theatre research.?The topics in focus?may vary from semester to semester.
Learning outcome
After completing this course, the students are expected:
- To have a basic understanding of the common digital methods used in Ibsen Studies and Humanities in general;
- To be able to analyze, assess and critique others’ use of digital methods in humanities research;
- To be able to apply the different digital methods in one’s own research projects
