Semesteroppgaven leveres i to eksemplarer til ekspedisjonskontoret i 4. etg PAM hus tirsdag 22. november mellom kl.12.30-15.00. Oppgaven p?f?res kandidatnummer (finnes i Studentweb), emnekode, navn p? emnet, og semester. Sammen med oppgaven m? du levere obligatorisk erkl?ring

I will be absent between November 19 and November 30, due to my participation in a conference in South Korea. Thus, our lectures on November 23 and November 30 are to be cancelled. The extra lectures will be arranged to make good for the lost lecture time.

Introductory Tour of the library

The students can take an introductory tour of the main library, guided by our librarian for Japanese and Korean, Naomi Magnussen (n.y.magnussen@ub.uio.no)

The 3 tours will begin at:

1) The 11th of Oct. (Tuesday), 14:30

2) The 12th of Oct. (Wednesday), 12:30

3) The 13th of Oct. (Thursday), 12:30.

The participants meet at the main entrance of the library building.

Semesteroppgaven - First draft of the term paper - is to be submitted by 6th of October!

I would like to remind you that, following our study plan, you are all supposed to submit the first drafts of your term papers to me by 6th of October, for careful examination and possible feedback. The drafts should include a more or less precise formulation of the topic, a detailed plan of the work with the titles of the chapters, and the main content of each chapter. Minimally, the draft should be written on ca. 1-2 pages, but you can submit larger and more detailed drafts if you wish more concrete feedback from me. The feedback will include suggestions about possible sources or materials, possible changes in the formulation of the topic, and ideas about the content of the essay. The students are free to pick up the topics of their own choosing, but, please, convay your proposals personally or by e-mail to me before you begin...

Obs! Forelesningen er flyttet til onsdager kl.12.15-14.00 i seminarrom 8 SB.

Alle er inviterte til gjesteforelesningen av S?r-Koreas ber?mte dikteren Ko Un. Han vil snakke om sine verk og opplese utvalgte dikt.
