Welcome to HEI¡¯s first International Student Conference!

The 10th annual Nordic EMBL Partnership conference will be hosted by MIMS, Ume?. The conference will take place online. 

On 7-9 September 2020, the conference on high-dimensional stochastics will take placeas a virtual meeting under the auspices of at the Wolfgang Pauli Institute (WPI) in Vienna, Austria. The conference is an activity within the thematic program "Mathematics for Risk in Finance and Energy" at the WPI. 

We aim to bring together an interdisciplinary group of leading researchers with interest in high dimensional stochastic modeling. Particular emphasis will be given to infinite dimensional Markov processes, SPDEs, population dynamics, high dimensional statistics and connections to financial and energy modeling. We welcome participants from academia and industry to take part in this event.  

UiO:Energy would like to invite you to an open lunch where PhDs working within the field of sustainable energy will present their research projects. In this webinar, Heidi Sydnes Egeland from the Scandinavian Institute of Maritime Law and Camilla Louise W¨¹rtzen from the Department of Geosciences will talk about juridical and geological challenges related to carbon capture and storage (CCS).  

The University of Bergen, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology  and the University of Oslo have the pleasure of inviting all PhD-students working within the fields of energy to the 2020 interdisciplinary summer school on flexible energy systems.

With the development of the distributed microgrid architecture, renewable energy resources and widespread electric vehicles, smart grids are facing many unprecedented challenges. At this lecture Professor Yan Zhang will elaborate on blockchain technology and its applications for smart energy systems. Tor Krog from Siemens Smart Infrastructure will give a business perspective on the technology.
