The interdisciplinary initiative UiO:Democracy will conduct research on democracy in its many facets, as a form of governance and as a way of life and practice. The research groups will play a central role in the initiative's activities.
UiO:Democracy has a call for applications for interdisciplinary research groups with an application deadline of 15 September 2023. To apply, the research group must consist of researchers from at least two faculties at UiO.
Do you have an exciting project but are missing a participant from another unit? Or are you interested in contributing to other projects?
UiO:Democracy invites you to a low-threshold "speed-dating" workshop, where you have the opportunity to talk to potential academic partners.
The workshop is held in the large meeting rooms (HF-12) at the end of the corridor on the 12th floor in Niels Treschows hus.
The programme
The programme starts with a short introduction by the director of UiO:Democracy, Tore Rem. After this, we will try to put together researchers according to which thematic track they are most interested in. These are the 5 different tracks from the call:
- Democracy as a form of governance and the institutions of democracy
- Citizens, diversity and inequality
- The role and function of knowledge
- Democracy and crisis management
- Democracy in everyday life
We therefore ask you to indicate which track or tracks are of interest to your application in the registration form below.
We will serve coffee, tea, and pastries.
