Admission to UiO for exchange students
Students from universities which have an exchange agreement with University of Oslo (UiO) may spend one or two semesters at UiO as part of their studies.

How to apply
Students coming on exchange must be nominated by their university and then apply before the deadlines: 1 May for the autumn semester and 15 October for the spring semester.
For partner universities
Student housing
Incoming exchange students will be given priority for single student housing if they apply within the deadlines.
Start of the semester
The autumn semester 2025 starts on Monday 11 August with the orientation for new international students.
Courses for exchange students
Exchange students may take courses across faculties and departments. The faculties answer questions about courses.
