Files and collaborative writing in a team

All members can work simultaneously on files in a team.

When  you upload  Excel, Word, PowerPoint or other Office files to a team, all members can edit them simultaneously. You no longer need to send attachments back and forth and risk that different versions exist in various places.

NB! The space you have in a team is a shared file space. OneDrive is your personal storage space, even if you also can share files from OneDrive.

Everyone in a team has access to the teams files, even if you create subchannels within the team. If there are files you want to restrict access to, place these under its own team.

Syncronize with SharePoint

You can also syncronize Teams with Sharepoint, to access your shared files. The shared files are then syncronized with your PC, so you can work directly on the files both in Teams and on your PC.

You do this by clicking on the the banner Files in your Team. Then you click Open in Sharepoint.

A new window to SharePoint will then open. Click Syncronize in SharePoint.

Work with files offline

If you wish to work with the files without being connected to the internet, you can instruct the file explorer on your PC to syncronize the files in the folder. You can also do this with single files.
