Summer student contributes to the development of medical technology using artificial intelligence

Cybernetics student Leonard Sandl?kk Schiller is well underway with his summer project. He is one of 50 students who have received a scholarship from UiO:Life Science to participate in a real research project over a six-week period this summer. 

Next step in the application process for convergence environments

By the application deadline of May 27, a total of 51 applications had been received. Now the review panel will meet to select 12 to 15 projects that will advance to the next round.

Opening of the Center for Global Sustainability

It was a full house when the University of Oslo opened its new Centre for Global Sustainability earlier in June. The Centre for Global Sustainability connects researchers across fields to help build a sustainable and just future.

UiO:Life Science will, along with UiO:Democracy and UiO:Energy and Environment, become part of the centre on 1 January 2026.

Circle U. bachelor module receives course development support

UiO:Life Sciences has allocated 150,000 NOK for the development of the new interdisciplinary course KOS1500 – Bridging Humanities and Medicine for Sustainable Societal Impact.

Two new guest artists for the REAL Art programme

Ane Graff and Taylor Alaina Liebenstein Smith have been selected for the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences' REAL Art programme, where artists collaborate with researchers to develop projects.
