Major honour bestowed on Arnoldo Frigessi
Professor and Head of Integreat, Arnoldo Frigessi, was surprised and delighted to receive the Nora Lifetime Achievement Award. He was honoured for his eminent academic influence through his research and for his supervision of innumerable students.

UiO: The University Board has announced the winners of this year’s UiO Research Award, Education Award, Dissemination Award, Innovation Award and Young Researcher Award. Professor Emily Burger from Helsam has won the Young Researcher Award for her work to prevent cervical cancer caused by human papillomavirus (HPV).

MED: Faculty Board Elections: During the autumn of 2024, one representative and two deputy representatives will be elected from temporary academic staff, including temporary adjunct professors.

MED: Election of new Head of MedDocs - Doctoral research fellows will vote for the Faculty’s Research Education Committee. The new Head of MedDocs will be elected for one year from 1 January 2025 until 31 December 2025. Candidates must be nominated by 12 noon on 15 August.

Uniforum: Home office at UiO: Well-appreciated and source of conflict (in Norwegian). Some managers do not allow it, while at other locations employees work from home because the work premises do not measure up. And what are you really entitled to? UiO has guidelines for remote work, but how clear are these guidelines.
