Documentation is often recorded in lab notebooks, diaries, or README files. If you plan to use Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELN), read about UiO and OUS's agreement with eLabJournal.

The following is important to know about storage during a project:

Size, Sensitivity, and Access: These factors influence which storage solutions are suitable for the data you collect. UiO also offers research platforms that meet various needs. Read more about storing research data.
Information Security: As a researcher, you are responsible for information security. Details about this are described in the IT department's guide to information security for researchers.
Sensitive Data: Data of a sensitive nature requires a higher level of protection than regular non-sensitive data. The Service for Sensitive Data (TSD) is UiO's most used solution for handling such data. More information on how TSD works can be found here.
