Implementation

During the project, it is important to have good control over storage to ensure data quality and avoid data loss.

Organisation

Good organisation of data during the project is important for reproducibility and simplifies the archiving process afterward. Read more about good practices for organising data.

Documentation is an important part of organisation and helps enhance the quality of your data and results. See more information about documentation.

Documentation is often recorded in lab notebooks, diaries, or README files. If you plan to use Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELN), read about UiO and OUS's agreement with eLabJournal.

Storage

The following is important to know about storage during a project:

Data analysis and processing

Sharing during the project

To share sensitive (red) research data with collaborators during the project, use one of the following services:

For sharing non-sensitive (yellow or green) data, there is a wider range of services available.

Artificial intelligence (AI) as a tool

GPT UiO is a UiO-developed service that allows you to use OpenAI's ChatGPT within the privacy requirements set by UiO. It is available to all students and staff at UiO. For more information, see legal guidelines for the use of artificial intelligence (AI) at UiO.
