=> Frequently Asked Questions

The funds can be used to promote mobility and both national and international collaborations. This can include support for research stays outside the institution, seminars with external researchers, or other relevant initiatives.

Support for stays abroad of up to 6 months will be considered for researchers who cannot use the mobility programs of the Norwegian Research Council or other external funding sources. For stays abroad, the Research Council's monthly rates should be used.

PSI will only cover additional costs associated with the stay abroad (i.e., travel costs, rent, visas, etc.). Expenses for food will not be covered. See also UiO's website on stays abroad.
Indicate in the application whether you would want to go ahead with the application if a lower number of months than the number you are applying for is approved. Applicants who have not previously received funding will be given priority.

Application with budget should be submitted via Nettskjema.

The application deadline is November 22, 2023 at 12:00 PM.

The funds must be used in 2024.

The total budget and its allocation is contingent upon budget approval by the board in December.

Applicants will be notified sometime in January, 2024.
