Welcome to the official opening of the first student led Green Office in Norway! Here you will have the opportunity to learn more about Green Office and meet other students and employees that are interested in climate change.
Green office is a meeting place and contact point for students and employees that have ideas, input and/or questions regarding how UiO can become more environmentally friendly.
Under the opening you will get to hear from Vice rector Mette Halskov Hansen, the director for UiO: Energy and Environment, a representative from the Student Parliament and one of the newly hired student coordinators at the Green office.
After the opening remarks, attendants are invited to plant their own seeds in the new office herb garden. It will also be arranged a cloth swap in relation to the opening, where you can swap in your old clothes for something new.
Gluten free and vegan refreshments will be provided under the event.

- 13:00 - Introduction w/ Vice-Rector for Climate, Environment and Cross-Disciplinarity, Mette Halskov Hansen og Director for UiO: Energy and environment, Vebj?rn Bakken
- 13:05 – Introduction w/ representative from The Student Parliament
- 13:10 – Introduction w/ student coordinator from the Green Office
- 13:15 – We cut the ribbon!
- 13:20 -> Mingling w/ refreshments, seed planting and cloth swap
About Green office
Green office is a meeting place and contact point for students and employees that have ideas, input and/or questions regarding how UiO can become more environmentally friendly. 8 student coordinators have been hired to run the office. These will contribute to initiating various measures intended to bring to life the comprehensive climate and environmental strategy and make the university greener.
