Nilla is experienced in leading science and technology initiatives across academia and the private sector. Her expertise lies in developing R&D projects, securing funding, forging strategic partnerships, and driving innovation in collaboration with industry. Before joining dScience at UiO, Nilla worked as Head of Business Development for Energy Valley, responsible for developing strategic opportunities within renewable energy technology and digitalisation with the cluster’s members.
Before returning to Norway, Nilla worked as a Partnerships & Business Engagement Manager for Engineering and Physical Sciences at Lancaster University, driving knowledge exchange between industry, academia, and the public sector. She has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and an MEng in Sustainable Engineering from the same university. Her PhD research was done in collaborative partnership with industry and focused on factors affecting the performance and reliability of regenerative pumps. Nilla has previously been involved in several R&D projects, collaborating with SMEs on renewable energy technologies, sustainability and energy efficiency.
Nilla's proactive engagement within professional groups like the Institution of Mechanical Engineers showcases her commitment to inspiring young engineers and advocating for technological advancements.
