About the DART network:
The DART network project aims to initiate collaborative research projects for the creation of digital twin infrastructures to model responses to complex climate legislation and – critically - quantify the uncertainties associated with Paris Agreement tools (see, e.g., the paper Understanding the origin of Paris Agreement emission uncertainties) to support cost-efficient Arctic transitions to net zero. For more information about DART, see the project homepage.
The kick-off meeting will take place in Oslo, February 11-13 2025. We hope that you will be able to attend the whole workshop, but if you have to prioritize, please prioritize Tuesday and Wednesday (Feb 11-12).
Our primary purpose for DART is to plan research projects. We intend to spend most of the time at the workshop discussing and planning projects. For this reason, we would like everyone to reflect on possible topics and associated funding possibilities before we meet.
We hope to see you in Oslo!
Please note that this workshop is by invitation only. If you have any questions, please contact Project Coordinator Einar Broch Johnsen.
Program:
Tuesday and Wednesday 09:00-17:00. Thursday we start at 09:00.
- We start on Tuesday by a round of introductions (5 min each). Then we discuss possible calls and identify some calls that are particularly relevant for the DART network. After lunch, we will organize break-out groups to explore possible project ideas for the identified calls. The break-out groups will then report back and receive feedback from the plenary group. There will be a few selected plenary presentations to complement the work in the break-out groups.
There is an organized dinner Tuesday evening. - Wednesday, we repeat the break-out groups to refine the project ideas. There will be a few selected plenary presentations to complement the work in the break-out groups.
