Discover - Empowering Librarians and Users to get the most out of content with AI

Abstract

50% of researchers don’t know where to start - so let's make a simple journey to content and improve the user experience. Known-item searching has many advantages but it also proves challenging for researchers as these types of search environments are beholden to some or none of the keywords and static metadata provided by publishers in an ever-growing corpus of literature. Let's enter the world of AI and learn how a small start-up ,Yewno Inc, founded by research from Kings College London, has confronted this frustration and overcome it by providing a simple way for students and researchers to find content and simplify the journey through visualization and related ideas with direct access paths corresponding documents. Join Manisha Bolina as she talks through a live demo of Yewno Discover and  how easy it can be to uncover connections between related concepts, hypothesize and visualise research.

Unfortunately we humans are limited, so at Iris.ai we decided to build an AI researcher to help. But how does one go about building this - where do you even start? In this talk, Anita covers early days, current status and future ambitions of Iris.ai, and what opportunities and pitfalls may be embedded in building an AI researcher.
