Course content
The courses offered may vary from term to term depending on the student demand and availability of teaching staff to teach these courses. Courses may cover topics such as:
- Advanced course in statistics
- Course in PLA (participating learning and action) methods
- Advanced course in Qualitative Methods
Learning outcome
The courses aim to prepare students for understanding, analysing as well as producing and utilising results of research in relation to their own area of study.
Admission
Students who are admitted to study programmes at UiO must each semester register which courses and exams they wish to sign up for in Studentweb.

Prerequisites
Formal prerequisite knowledge
The course is a part of the Master programme in Comparative and International Education and the Master programme in Higher Education. Only students formally accepted to these programmes may attend this course.
Teaching
The courses will run through three weeks and consists of a combination of lectures with seminars/workshops. A minimum of 80% attendance is required of all students.
Examination
For each course there will be a compulsory paper to write. Requirements will be announced at the start of the course. The papers are graded: Pass / Fail. Those students whose papers have not been approved are required to rewrite their papers
