How to submit the master's thesis

You submit your master's thesis in Inspera only. The thesis will then be submitted both for grading and for publication in the Norwegian Research Information Repository (Nasjonalt Vitenarkiv, NVA).    

1. Deadline for thesis submission

Check the deadline for thesis submission on the ANTH4090 semester web page under Examination: Time and place.

2. Make sure your thesis comply with formal requirements

3. Submit your thesis for grading and publication in Inspera

  • Log into Inspera
  • Find the submission folder under My tests
  • What to submit In Inspera:
    • You must enter:
      • The title and language of your thesis. Make sure the thesis title is correct. It is difficult very difficult to rectify this later.
      • Your name and your supervisor's name. Make sure the names are correct. It is difficult very difficult to rectify this later.
      • Whether or not your thesis is required by law to be restricted due to confidentiality. See information about confidentiality and classification of data and information
      • Whether the publication of your master's thesis should be postponed.
    • You must submit:
      • Upload your master's thesis as a pdf file. 
      • Upload the summary of your thesis if you wish to make it available in NVA.
  • When you have successfully answered the questions and uploaded the thesis, you will see that it is saved to your submission in Inspera. You can make changes until the test closes.
  • When the submission folder in Inspera closes, your answers and thesis will be submitted automatically and you will see your submission under "Previous tests".

4. Notify the Norwegian Agency for Shared Services in Education and Research - Sikt about the completion of your project

If you have processed/obtained personal data, which is notifiable to Sikt, it is important that you notify them that the project is completed, and what you have done with the data.

5. Printing your thesis

You are not to hand in any bound copies of your thesis.

You can submit a private order for printed copies of your thesis from the University Print Centre. The Department of Social Anthropology does not cover any printing costs.
