PSY4322 – Statistics for cognitive neuroscience
Course content
The course provides you with an overview of statistical methods commonly used in cognitive neuroscience, both for preparing sample sizes, constructing scales, preprocessing neuroimaging data, and analysing results of neuroimaging experiments and observational data, using R and Matlab. The teaching is organized as workshops including both lecturing and tutorials.

General competence
- Understanding of the scientific reasoning behind the choice of statistical methods
- Competence in acquiring programming skills necessary for performing statistics within specific neuroscientific methods modalities (e.g. neuroimaing)
- Preparedness for preprocessing and analysing electrophysiological and neuroimaging data in the courses Electrophysiology in cognitive neuroscience and Neuroimaging in cognitive neuroscience

Bachelor in psychology with focus on cognitive neuroscience
Teaching
6 workshops, each consisting of 2h lecture and 2h hands-on seminar.
Examination
4 hour written exam.
