The exam

The format of the exam is going to be the following:

• Two short questions, each weight 1/6 (so 30 min on each). Specific questions where you should provide an answer without too much discussion
• A guided essay, total weight 2/3. Typically 3 to 7 sub-questions that are related and form a story together. Scope for more discussion and putting several parts of the curriculum together.

A few pieces of general advice:

• Answer all questions
• Use the curriculum. You may also use other sources, but all questions are related to the course and the curriculum
• Often it is useful to provide some graphs or pieces of mathematical models as well as the text. Giving perfectly clear answers using text only is challenging.
