You will find some suggestions as to how to answer the problems in the two first problems sets (weeks 7 and 9), under Teaching Material. The problem set for the seminar in two weeks (week 11) will be completed on Monday - I hope. I am also preparing a Hand-Out related to the "Putty-Clay-model", which will embody the main elements of the decision rules at the plant level. (This I hope will also be ready not later than Monday March 2nd.) I also want to prepare a note on the aggregated growth model that comes out of this story. (This will be the topic on the lecture Tuesday the 3.)

Under "Teaching Material" you will find the problems to be solved, analysed and discussed at the first seminar, on February 12. You should form some working groups where you solve the problems cooperatively. I expect that some of you will present the solution on the blackboard.

I have made a summary of the main ideas of "The Classical Growth Model", and, due to the discussion we had at the lecture this week, also a comment on stability. This hand-out, called Hand-out 1, is available under "Teaching Material". I have also noted that it is not possible to get the article by Frenger 6 Bi?rn from Journal of Economics (Zeitschrift für National?konomie) from JSTOR. I will work out a solution.

The home page for ECON 4350 has a section called "Recommended prior knowledge". In the "new" version of the course that will be taught this semester, it is strongly recommended that - beyond a Bachelor degree in Economics - one has mathematical skill according to ECON 3120/4120 Mathematics 2. Prior knowledge in Econometrics is not necessary.
