Topics include:

  • Growth and investment in the neoclassical model
  • Endogenous growth: theory and empirical evidence
  • Investment theory revisited
  • Asset pricing
  • Real business cycles
  • Models with heterogeneous agents

This term the course will be given in a somewhat modified form to better fit in with the background of the students having followed courses in the old portfolio.

Literature

The main book for the course will be: Romer, David: Advanced Macroeconomics, 2nd ed., McGraw-Hill, 2001 (ISBN: 0-07-231855-4).

A complete reading list of supplementary articles will be available some weeks before the start of the term. A guidance to this list will be given at the first lecture.
