Answer notes to DIY exercises

I have posted some answer notes to the 5 Do IT Yourself (DIY) exercises in the slide set to Lecture 1. It is best that you formulate an answer yourself first, and then check my notes. 

If you cannot reconcile your own answers with mine (or if you cannpt see the point with these questions!): talk to fellow students about it. Or indeed with me ! 

More notes like this will follow during the term. Cannot promise that I will put a note about it each time though. So stay tuned !
