The use of the 'M[y,x]' notation found in Bi?rn's book and some of the seminar exercises is voluntary. I.e. you my use it if you like it, but no questions at the exam require knowledge of this specific notation.

There will be no PC Give course on Friday October 2. The course continues next week (Friday October 9)
To download the software package PcGive go here Log in using your ordinary user name and password. There are some known issues with Vista, but these can usually be solved by running the program in XP compatibility mode.
There will be no parallel sessions in the PcGive course, so the session on September 11 continues where the session on September 4 ended.
Because of the Schweigaard lecture, there is only one hour of lecture from 10.15 to 11.00 on September 8.
