This semester, the course will ¡­

• This semester, the course will be lectured by Bjorn Dapi and Nils Chr Framstad (course coordinator). Seminars will be given by Bjorn Dapi.

• A preliminary lecture schedule is posted under the Detailed teaching plan link . Please notice that if this plan disagrees with the 'Time and place' link, then the latter is (most probably) the wrong one; we as teachers cannot update that one.

• It is highly recommended that you make sure you can attend Maths 2 lectures, as they are to a certain extent synchronized with Maths 3 in order to serve as review lectures. If you need to review static optimization, those topics are taught in Maths 2 just before Maths 3 develops further on the matter. If you need to review integration and differential equations, those topics are taught in Maths 2 just before Maths 3 starts with 2nd order differential equations. (If you are in full command over these topics, you might not need to attend Maths 2 lectures though.)

• The lecture-free week is ¨C preliminarly, but most probably ¨C in week 41 (most other courses have week 40).

• Some references to the literature might still be wrong.
