0815 - 1200     Practice Preparation of plasmid DNA from E. Coli 
                          Prepare DNA for sequencing analysis
1230 - 1700     Practice Restriction analysis of plasmid DNA 
                          PCR amplification of plasmid DNA 
                          Transfect mammalian cells  
                          Prepare gels for 2h an 2i
                          Analyze PCR products by gel electrophoresis 
                          Analyze restriction products by gel electrophoresis

Thursday 28th January
1015 - 1200     Demonstrations 4-5 students in each group for demonstration of
                           (i) DNA repair reactions
                           (ii) DNA sequencing
                           (iii) Cryo-sections
                           (iv) Analyze transfected mammalian cells
1315 – 1400     Lecture 7. Construction and analysis of transgenic animals
1415 – 1500     Lecture 8. More methods in molecular biology; DNA repair, reporter
                           systems and RNAi
