Introductory course i Paediatrics
Welcome to the introductory course in paediatrics 02. February and 11. February 2022 (please consult your calendar to see when your group is due to attend). The course takes place at “Ferdighetssenteret” at “Rikshospitalet”.
Through this course we aim to give you an overview of how to examine children of different ages and how to write a thorough paediatric medical record. It is a group based course where your group will attend five different stations, 25 minutes each. Most stations are practical workshops where you will be partaking in the activities. The five different stations are as follows:
1) The acutely ill child
2) The examination of a newborn baby
3) The paediatric neurological examination
4) History taking and clinical examination – a practical approach
5) Evaluation growth and development
You are advised to please:
- Meet up on time, and put on a facemask upon arrival. Facemasks will be provided.
- Go straight to your designated room. You will find your group number on the door.
- Bring pen and paper if you wish to take notes.
- Bring your snack or coffee as there will be very little time in the break to run to the canteen.
This is a hectic course, but full of great advice and useful tips. Please do not hesitate to get in touch should you have any questions.
