Some students have reported problems accessing the new Skills Center.

? Have you updated your ID card at the self-service kiosk located to the right of the staff entrance or the temporary main entrance at Rikshospitalet? This is necessary for the card to work in building 10.

? Your card has been updated at the self-service kiosk at Rikshospitalet but still doesn't work? Report it to the ID card office (idkort@ous.hf.no, 23066050). If it only concerns specific rooms, provide the room number indicated on the sign outside the rooms.

Dear students,

We are sorry about the situation that made it necessary that all students and some teachers involved in module 6 had to be tested for MRSA. All tests have now been analyzed, and there is no finding suggesting transmission of MRSA between students or employees who are involved in module 6.

Regards from

Anne F Jacobsen, Head of Module 6 and

Magnus L?berg, Dean of Education

Access to the Skills Center/Ferdighetssenter in building 10 at Gaustad and new rooms at Radiumhospitalet are registered on OUS ID cards for all students.

To gain access to these rooms, you must update your OUS ID cards at a self-service kiosk located at the staff entrance at Rikshospitalet, the temporary main entrance at Rikshospitalet, or near the cafeteria at Radiumhospitalet. Updating the card once is sufficient to gain access to both building 10 and Radiumhospitalet.

Best regards,

Module Coordinator

Dear students!

Please read all of the following messages from Egil Lingaas and Anne Flem Jacobsen:

Delivery of Tests:

The Microbiology Laboratory is open for sample reception from 08:00 - 15:30, Monday to Friday. During this period, samples should be placed in the designated plastic container just inside the door, as shown in the information provided to students. Outside these times, samples can be delivered to the "Felles pr?vemottak" at the Department of Medical Biochemistry on the 2nd floor (one floor below the Department of Microbiology). This also applies on Saturdays and Sundays. The samples will then be collected by the Microbiology Department, and the analyses will begin the same day (until 21:00 on weekdays, until 15:30 on Saturdays, and until 14:30 on Sundays). Samples must be deliver...

Dear students,

Your module leader Anne Flem Jacobsen will meet you for a 30 minutes Zoom meeting tomorrow at 14.00 to clarify questions regarding the MRSA testing. The Pro-Dean of Studies, Magnus L?berg and the Head of infection control at OUS; Egil Lingaas, will also be present to answer your questions.

Magnus L?berg states that "For your information, we are actively investigating the source of MRSA-exposure. The most likely source is not within the student group at Module 6, but an unrelated person who was in contact with one of the University Hospitals".

Dear students,

The Obstetric department at Oslo University Hospital and AHUS have decided that all students in module 6 need to test for MRSA due to the discovery of MRSA in your learning environment.

We consider the risk that you have been infected as minimal and you can continue in clinical practice until you have the answer. Only the ones with positive test will be contacted by telephone. This will take from 3-7 days.

The tests will be performed at Rikshospitalet for the ones that are at Rikshospitalet and Ullev?l and at AHUS for the students in practice there.

  • At Rikshospitalet you can collect the testing form and kit (three swabs) from Ellen Rosenberg, on the 3rd floor in the university unit. Room B1.3097 (or B1.3099).

Dear students!

Welcome to Pediatric, which of course is the most interesting and greatest specialty in medicine. We are of course not biased at all :-)

We have prepared an Introduction Course for you on the 21th and 22th of August to give you a taste of what pediatrics is all about! Each student is assigned to a half day course where we will go through some off the basic things you will learn this semester. This will be a very intense half day for you! There will be 4 stations were two groups (eight students) will rotate through the stations having 20-25 min lectures (and only 5 mins breaks) on each of the following subjects:

*             How to recognize an acute sick child

Dear students,

Welcome to a new semester

Please note the following:

8 students will attend Module 6 from Campus South. They will have all their clinical teaching at S?rlandet Hospital, but will follow parts of the plenary sessions in Oslo via Zoom

  • Students are expected to attend plenary sessions in person. Only students present in allocated rooms in Ahus and Campus South can attend streamed teaching.
  • Students are not permitted to log on from anywhere else.
  • All plenary sessions take place at Rikshospitalet. When you also see rooms in Ahus and Campus South listed, this shows that the session will be streamed.
  • In Oslo, the days will largely be divided in half, with clinical teaching in the mornings and plenary sessions in the afternoons.
  • Some of the clinical teaching will not correspond with the listed time in the time schedule. This applies when students have indiv...
