Welcome to STK9200

This course will be aimed at PhD students in statistics, but is also open for others.

The course will be built up by a set of topics within machine learning, covered by selection of a set of papers that will be presented and discussed. The students will be expected to take part in these presentations. The selection of topics will be based on the interests of the participants.

Participants will be expected to have some general background in machine learning methodology, e.g. through courses or research work.

Evaluation will be through a final presentation on one of the papers considered through the course (different from the ones presented earlier by themselves).
