We propose to run the recap session of questions and answers at 14:15 on 25 May, which is two weeks before the scheduled exam date 9 June, assuming no change to the latter of course.
Please send me your questions in advance.
Questions or not, please let me know if you would like to join the session and your email address of invitation.
The time will be 14.15 CET as usual.
I will send the invitations by email to those who have participated in the past.
For the others, please let me know.
An order has been delivered to the faculty that has promised a simple guide towards the end of April (easier than the one out so far). This should be for both lecturers and students.
Lecturer should be able to create exam sets as before in a pdf file uploaded to Inspera.
This can be downloaded by the students, who then load their answer into Inspera as a pdf file.
The exam is run as a 7-day individual home exam with all aids allowed. The tasks will be similar to a mandatory task. Collaboration will not be considered cheating, but you must have formulated and written the answer that is submitted, and it should reflect your understanding of the syllabus. The grade will be pass/fail, and the limit for passing will be 40% (like E at the regular exam). The exam is published in Inspera at the original examination date and must be submitted as one PDF file in Inspera within the same time 7 days later. The faculty works on solutions for students who may not have access to a computer/network.
The typos spotted during the online session have been corrected.
We will continue with Session-VI in Zoom next Monday at 14:15.
On this Friday we will cover Session-V exercises instead of VI.
For those who did not receive invitation to join by email last time, please update us with the email address you would like to use.
We will try having class in Zoom on Monday 23 March at 14:15.
For those of you who would like to join, please send me your email in advance. I will then invite you to join at the beginning.
You need to download and install Zoom, and have it started.
It will notify you once I have issued the invitation.
We will be able to see and hear each other, and I can share lecture slides on the screen.
I plan to start by revisiting Session V, which could not be delivered in lectures last Monday. Depending how we progress, we may or may not be able to finish Session VI.
Hope to see you then.
Recording lectures is not straightforward.
For the time being, Skype or Zoom are the preferred methods of interaction. (I have installed Zoom and learning how to use it.)
We need to adapt to the new reality. So don't hesitate to take contact if you have questions or need to discuss.
The lecture hours may not be suitable every time, for you or for us. You may email us to arrange different time to meet online.
Keep well!

deleted one word "just" on slides nr. 2
Updated: exercise solutions to session iv.
Refer to the lecture notes (session v) for the core concepts in Section 5.2 & 5.3. Learn these first. You are not required to learn by heart the rest details in the textbook (Sec. 5.2 & 5.3).
Pages marked by * in page-title in the lecture notes are optional.

Following the decision of the University, all lectures (on Mondays) and group lectures (on Fridays) in STK-4610 will be stopped from tomorrow 13 March, till further notice when they will be resumed.
We will post the exercises solutions and lecture notes every week, according to the outlined schedule, so that it will be a reading course for the time being.
Moreover, we will be available for contact by email or Skype for questions and answers during the usual lecture hours.
The Skype contact information will be posted shortly.
Other possibilities of digital contact may become available in the coming days. Announcement will be made in due course.
That's it for now.
All the best & good luck everyone!
