Now, it is finally confirmed that there will be an oral exam in the course this semester. As previously announced, this will take place on April 30th in Room 1000 at the 10th floor of N.H. Abel's house. There are currently 9 students signed up for the course. A detailed schedule with the exact points of time for these 9 exams will be based on a random ordering, and the students will be notified about this. At the beginning of each exam the student will get the questions in the form of a written note. The student will then get 10 minutes for preparation. All notes can be used during this phase. After that the examination will last for about half an hour. Problems from previous exams in the course can be found here, here and ...
The mandatory assignment is now available and can be downloaded here. In order to complete the assignment, you need the following three python files: contourtest_01.py, c_contour.py and util.py. If you have trouble running the Python code, please contact me by mail as soon as possible. The deadline for the assignment is March 20 at 14.30. As announced on the last lecture, today's lecture will be given in the form of prerecorded video clips. Lecture notes and video clips can be found here. Note that the video clips are actually full lectures, so the total time of these clips are fairly long. However, the clips will be available so that you can watch these clips whenever you like. Note also that the clips are not subtitled. Please let me know if you want subtitled clips.
Due to the large number of students signed up for the course, the lectures are moved to Room 1020.
