There is some mixup in the use of successes and failures in the description of the NegBin distribution, but just use the formulaes which should be right.

If there are questions during exam, send an email to geirs@math.uio.no and I will answer. If there are general issues showing up during the exam, these will be published on the semester web page for the course (on the STK4021 page). You should therefore check the web-page a few times during the exam.

There were now problems with space in the lecture room to day, so we do have space for a few more students!

Published Aug. 17, 2020 3:34 PM

Lecture notes for the first lecture is now available under "Schedule". I will try to put these out before the lectures.

I believe/hope that the lecture room will have space enough for everybody, but due to the Corona pandemic we are not allowed to be too many. In case we will be too many, I will give priority to master students! Note however that the lecture will also be available digital.

We plan that there will be given ordinary teaching in the lecture room as given in the schedule. However, due to the coronavirus, the lectures will also be recorded and made available after the lecture.

The teaching will be given in English.
