I have been made aware of two typos in the list of formulas:

• In 2b in the list there is a typo in the formula for the conditional distribution of Y₁ given Y₂=y₂ . In the expression for the conditional mean, the first minus sign should be changed to a plus sign; cf. page 81 in the text book. 
• In 3e the symbol w_i should be replaced by ω_i (twice).

At the written exam this list of formulas will be provided together with the exam problems. If you find typos in the formulas, please let me know! (?rnulf)

The second attempt of the second compulsory assignment has now been graded. Feedback can be found in devilry.ifi.uio.no.

In the lecture Tuesday November 21st, a recap of the main content of the complete course will be given. The slides for the review lecture are given here.

The second compulsory assignment has been corrected, and in devilry.ifi.uio.no/ you may check whether you have passed or not. Those who have not passed, should hand in an improved version no later than Monday November 20th at 2.30 pm.

The individual written feedback on assignment is digitally available at devilry.ifi.uio.no/.

We completed the curriculum Tuesday November 14 th.

The plan for the teaching the coming weeks is as follows:

• Monday November 20th: the last exercise class.
• Tuesday November 21st: a recapitulation of the main points in the curriculum will be given.
• Tuesday November 28th:  selected problems from earlier exams will be discussed (details later).
• Tuesday December 5th: selected problems from earlier exams will be discussed (details later).

You will get back a commented version of your solution at the exercise class on Monday October 23rd or the lecture on Tuesday October 24th. If you do not attend any of these, please send an email to borgan@math.uio.no, and we will arrange a way to give you back the commented solution.

The students should elect one or two student representatives for STK3100/4100. See here for information about the role of the student representative(s).

The election will be held at the lectures Tuesday October 10th.

The teaching in STK3100/4100 starts in week 34. Then there will be lectures both Monday and Tuesday. In later weeks there will be exercise classes on Mondays and lectures on Tuesdays. See the time schedule for details.
