Next week:

  • Week 47 (11/16-11/21):  Section 8.2 in de Jong and Heller on inverse gaussian distributed response. Then previous finals will be discussed, starting with last year and continuing as long as time permits. This will be the last lecture of STK3100/4100-f15.

Previous weeks:

  • Week 46 (11/9-11/15):   Finished sections 13.2.1, 13.2.1.1, 13.2.3 and 13.3 in chapter 13 in Zuur et al. and section 8.1 in de Jong and Heller on gamma  distributed response. Relevant R-code is here, here, here and here.
  • Week 45 (11/2-11/6):   Section 5.9 of chapter 5, section 6.1 in chapter 6  and sections 13.1 in chapter 13 in Zuur et al: Mixed Effects Models and Extensions in Ecology with R. Available as electronic book. Relevant R-code.
  • Week 44 (10/26-10/30): Sections 5.6- 5.8 of chapter 5 mixed effects modelling for nested data, in Zuur et al: Mixed Effects Models and Extensions in Ecology with R will be covered. Available as electronic book. Relevant R-code
  • Week 43 (10/19-10/23): Sections 5.3-5.5 and the beginning of section 5.6 in chapter 5 mixed effects modelling for nested data, in Zuur et al: Mixed Effects Models and Extensions in Ecology with R were covered. Available as electronic book. Relevant R-code.
  • Week 42 (10/12-10/16): Rest of chapter 7, sections 7.7-7.9 on categorical data with more than one category.  Then sections 5.1-2 in chapter 5, mixed effects modelling for nested data, in Zuur et al: Mixed Effects Models and Extensions in Ecology with R was treated.   Available as electronic book. The relevant parts of chapter 9 on correlated data in deJong and Heller was be also commented.
  • Week  41 (10/5-10/9): Chapter 7 on models for categorical response, sections 7.1-7.7.
  • Week  40(9/28-10/2): The rest of chapter 6 on models for count data, sections 6.2,6.3.and 6.4, R-code, R-code
  • Week  39(9/21-9/25): Two last sections in chapter 5 in de Jong and Heller (deJ&H) on generalized linear models were treated, then first section  chapter 6 on models for count data, sections 6.1. R-code, Rcode.
  • Week  38(9/14-9/18): Sections 5.7-5.9  in de Jong and Heller (deJ&H) on generalized linear models was treated.
  • Week  37(9/7-9/11): Sections 5.5 and 5.6 in chapter 5 in de Jong and Heller (deJ&H) on generalized linear models was treated. R-code, R-code 
  • Week  36 (8/31-9/4): The rest of chapter 3 in de Jong and Heller (deJ&H) was treated, thereafter  sections 5.1-5.4 and the beginning of section 5.5 in chapter 5 on generalized linear models.
  • Week  35 (8/24-8/28): The rest of chapter 4 in de Jong and Heller (deJ&H) was  surveyed, and then sections 3.1 in chapter 3 on exponential families was treated. Some R-code for chapter 4.     
  • Week  34 (8/17-8/21): After an introduction sections 4.1-8 in chapter 4 i de Jong and Heller (deJ&H) were  surveyed.
