Da er eksamensoppgaven og l?sningsforslag i STK2130 publisert.
Eksamensoppgave samt l?sningsforslag vil bli lagt ut sammen med tidligere
eksamener p? mandag morgen.
Now all teaching has come to an end for this term. All the best for the preparation for the exam, for the exam itself and for further studies.
Solutions to exercise 6.11 and problem 2 from 2007 are given on
"Ukeoppgaver" and the solution to problem 3 from 2010 is given on
"Oppgaver" on the main website for the course.
From the main page for STK2130 under "Oppgaver" earlier exams
can be downloaded. For the exams for the years 2009, 2010, 2011
2013 and 2014 also suggested solutions are given. Note that only the
exams for 2013 and 2014 are based on the same book as the one for this year.
For the exam you are allowed to bring and use the collection of formulae
which can be downloaded at "Formelsamling for STK1100 og STK1110" .
Note that you have to bring it yourself. It is not handed out at the exam.
April 29. was the day for the last lecture. There will be plenary exercises in the times for lectures on May 12. and 13.
The final curriculum can now be downloaded at
Pensum/l?ringskrav
"The rest after Example 4.39" is now "The rest from Example 4.39".
Hence Example 4.39 is now excluded from the curriculum.
Here is the solution to the mandatory assignment
The mandatory assignment is now corrected. 42 out of 44 was accepted which is very good. Your solutions can be picked up in the shelfs in the 7. floor in N.H. Abels House. For the two without acceptance we repeat that the deadline for delivering an improved answer is April 16. at 14.30.
There are 44 who has delivered their solution to the mandatory assignment which is very satisfactory. Aliaksandr will do the corrections which will be finished at latest at March 26 at 16.00. For those for whom their solution is not accepted in the first round a revised solution must be delivered by April 16. at 14.30. After this a solution to the assignment will be given as part of a message.
Due to mid term exams in other courses there will be no lectures, plenary exercises or exercises in the week starting March 23. This also goes for the following week due to easter vacation.
Remember the Mandatory assignment Deadline March 19. at 14.30
Next week on Wednesday 18. February there will be plenary exercises in
the lecture time and the other way round on Friday 20. February.
Here is the Mandatory assignment Deadline March 19. at 14.30
In the lecture January 27. the random variable T_i was introduced. The corrected version is: "T_i = time until state i will never be visited." The "never" was missing on the blackboard.
There has arrived the information from one of the students that an edition 11 of the textbook by Sheldon M. Ross now exists. Nevertheless the edition 10 will be used since for instance this has been the information given to the bookstore Akademika and several students might already have bought this edition.
On Fridays 9.15-10.00 Aliaksandr gives solutions to as many as possible of the exercises, but sometimes he can not manage to discuss all of them during the plenary exercise session. Some solutions will be given under "Exercises" on the web page of the course after this session. If there are particular exercises that you would like to see the solution of, please send him an email at aliaksah@math.uio.no before Thursday.
There will be lectures in the time for plenary exercises Friday 23. January 9.15-10.00.
